Final Polish

Our current campaign concluded last night, so next week mine begins. ::insert dramatic music:: I have been watching YouTube videos, mainlining a game (un)design podcast, polishing up my OneNote and Google docs, printing out the first set of adventures and player handouts, and pondering making healing potion bottles.

I gathered up my dice and character props yesterday afternoon. My 3D printing friend never got back to me about a project I asked about, so I’m also trying to decide what I’m going to use for my inspiration dice pool. Sidenote: I got a bunch of high-variance D20s from a Wyrmwood Dice Kickstarter, and another player got one for each of us, so I want to use these for Inspiration rolls. Just for fun.

I received one more backstory for a character yesterday. I have a few who haven’t yet responded to the Session Zero email. The module comes out the same day the campaign starts. Fortunately, we aren’t starting with the module.

In case you can’t tell, I’m a nervous, energetic, slightly obsessive mess about this. It’s starting so soon, and I’m not ready, but I’m as ready as I’m ever going to be. Gotta jump in, feet first, and hope I stick the landing. Or at least don’t fall flat on my face.

Probably switching to Wednesday posts for this blog, for a day-after DM’s reflection style. So, I’ll see you in a week, dear readers.
